Also, Frequently websites like the ones you’ve brought up are used in order to pinpoint what commercial generates what return or at times they are used to track revenue-share deals with Television & Radio stations running the ad spots.

As an example they might assign a Television station or Radio Station to each website to see which advertising spot generates the best return.
